If you've been following our Pre-starter guide, this follow on guide will help you develop your skills and move into more complex training, adding distance, duration and distractions to you your skill sets. These are the skills you need for rock solid recall and control no matter what you and your dog meet when out on your walks.

Of course this is not an overnight plan. None of us learned to read in one go, we started with tiny steps, simple words, and short pages. If we look to the same principles with our dogs, and look at the journey as being as exciting as our destination, we start to enjoy the small wins. Each tiny step builds confidence on both sides, and the whole process feels lighter and more achievable, and you'll be well on the way to being able to mark yourself 'Safe' from those dreaded 'Fenton moments' in the future.
